• not an issue if it's covered. I am using a Displate. Works well, and reception is not deterred.

• I would not cover the antenna with anything. Also, even if you did put a picture over it, the cable is still going to be visible.

• You can try a paper poster for example, but any heavy painting in a frame is likely to block reception.
