It runs for a few seconds, rewinds, and ejects after running its cycle. It there is old, torn off vhs tape that is still in the vcr, it might be causing the problem. It happens a lot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The tape you bought may be defective, in which case I'd go back to Best Buy & talk with customer service about this. If the tape is defective, and/or it seized up unexpectedly, your VCR likely detected the jam and automatically ejected the tape as a fail safe. I own two VCRs that do that whenever a tape malfunctions.
