“Does it clean the carpets as well as a regular carpet shampooer?”

• I think it does a really good job cleaning the carpet. If your asking if it gets it deep clean, I don't think it goes that deep as I have a throw rug in my living room and when I check under the rug, the water doesnt go all the way through but it does dry quicker. Hopefully that answers your question.

• I only have rugs but yes works very good on rugs and hard wood floors

• No this machine does not clean carpets well. It just freshens them up. If you need to shampoo your carpets you’ll need a shampooed.
