• Not at all. In fact, the suction on the CrossWave Cordless Max is so powerful that the unit literally lifts up my area rugs off the floor during cleaning.

• You spray the fluid on and you can vacuum up as many passes as you want to remove the fluid. I removed a lot of it (and the dirt with the fluid) and it dried quickly. I have only tried on area rugs so far.

• This is not a deep carpet cleaner so it will leave your carpets wetter. I've used it to clean up a few small messes on carpet and noted that the carpet took about 15 minutes to dry. Note: these were very small areas and the spot was not set in.
