“Does it dry the floors? I had the Hoover floormate spin brush that I am replacing. It not only mopped but sucked up the dirty water. Does this model do that?”

No it doesn't...it doesn't have a container for the dirty water only for the water for the steam...I also have a Hoover Floormate....I mainly purchased this machine to vacuum and wipe the floors. I used to have a dyson cordless that vacuum and wiped the floor... but the battery burnt out...and didn't last long while cleaning. With this machine I can use it longer because of the cord/plug. The only thing missing is a long nossel to get into the corners and high places. But all in all I like this machine...as for the high places I just wipe with a rag. Hope this helps.

After moving to a new spot, you can see some moisture on the ground but it dissipates within minutes. I imagine its the steam and not a puddle left behind.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not a mop. It's a steamer. It vacuums and also steams the floor with hot water. There is not enough water coming in contact with the floor to require suction. It dries in seconds, almost immediately. So, to be clear, no it does not suck water.

Mine have always dried within minutes of running the machine. So while I was finishing one room, the place where i started would already be dry.
