You install a wire on the power cord and plug it in. Then the built in antenna will send the picture to your phone number setup in your blink account.

One important reason is because cameras use Wi-Fi to send images and notifications. Blink systems minimally require a high speed connection of at least 2 Mbps upload speed.

Please try again later.You can record from it by having the sync module close enough to the doorbell itself, but you would still need WIFI in order to view any video footage or view in real-time. If the sync module is close enough to communicate with the doorbell, then it will record any motion activity and interactions to the Micro SD card installed ~ but without a WIFI signal it wouldn't really be ideal unless you only care to ever view video when there is a need, such a theft or something.
