• I went through the same thing , so I just screwed it in the wood next to the door and it sit just right with a wide cam view

• Yup - this is the only failure of this Chinese rubbish. If it was made in USA, the experienced engineer would have designed usable clips. Luckily you can return it and buy the better-designed Ring.
