In my experience, yes, it does. Even with a pop filter, it just seemed to collect quite a bit of noise and distortion. My husband switched to the Samson Q2U, which is in the same price range, comes with headphones (that plug directly into the mic), and seems to send cleaner sound into the recording.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a condenser microphone, so it's going to be a lot more sensitive to background noise than a dynamic microphone would be. As condenser microphones go however, its pretty good at rejecting background noise. Like any condenser microphone it is going to be sensitive to background noise and will pick up some if it is present.
