Hello. The Snowball iCE will work great to record the Tuba! You will want to record in a silent room (with minimal echo) and place the Snowball about 18-24 inches from the bell of the tuba to get a nice, warm, clear sound. Since the Snowball iCE does not have built-in monitoring, be sure to set the recording level properly on the computer so the recording is not peaking. A pop filter shouldn't be necessary, but it wouldn't hurt! It has a standard microphone stand mount, so you can mount it on any microphone stand. Good luck with the audition!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried a different stand, so yes it can work like that too. I don't know about pop filters & music but you can use it if you'd like too since it doesn't cost much. I paid less than $13.00 for mine. You can always use it in the future .
