“I have this in my cart to purchase based on consumer reports tests, but reviews say there's a chemical odor. Before i buy this, please tell me what is causing this as one reviewer said it was on overnight and odor remained. Thanks.”

I just got mine and there is no smell I detected from the filter or unit. It has been an absolute great buy.
