• A:Answer Hi, thanks for your question. To begin a cycle, please follow these steps: 1) Press On/Off button. 2) Select desired cycle/options. 3) Press Start button and close the dishwasher door within 4 seconds. The InfoLight® will project a red solid light onto the floor (or a white light in the pocket handle on select models) to signal that a cycle is running. It turns off once the dishes are done. Q: QuestionI just looked at a Bosch 500-series dishwasher at a Best Buy, and the shiny strip above the pocket in the pocket door appeared to be made of chrome-colored plastic. Is that strip now made of plastic?

Q: QuestionWith this model (SHP65CM5N), is there a way to set a delayed start using the control panel, without having to use an app on your phone?

• A:Answer I just got the answer from Bosch: No. You have to go online to set a delayed start, after you've just loaded the dishwasher and put the soap in. It's nuts. Why would anyone want that?

Q: QuestionI hate the idea of having yet another app on my phone to start something on home WiFi. Can any of the Bosch dishwashers, including this model, the used with manual settings without having to load an app onto my devices?

• A:Answer Some of the features are locked behind an app. There is also a requirement for a cloud account. This means there is a possibility that there will be a monthly fee to use these features or the server will be shut down, disabling them. This also means that you have to trust Bosch to have created a secure device, as insecure IOT devices are often used to gain access to people's home network.
