can these be used for a stereo? null

Absolutely fine stereo to my taste - it's of course not surround sound. I keep them on my desk and listen to music or watch video . If you're very picky to bass tones please note these speakers don't include subwoofer.

In addition to computers, these speakers can be hooked up to any audio device that has a headphone jack. Common examples would be an mp3 player, smartphone or tablet.
