“Do these speakers work with a lap top? Do they have a good bass response without a woofer?”

• Most all Bose speakers have great low end response. These are no different. You will get clean sound from them...just don't expect thumping bass. You might want to get the Bose Companion 5 with the separate bass box...but of course these are 4 times the price. You get what you pay for.

• Yes, they will work with a laptop. The sound is actually really good. Even without a woofer, there is plenty of bass. You're not going to be able to rattle your windows or anything, but definitely enough bass to make it sound good.
