Most definitely. I'd considered using a pair of these for my bedroom TV speakers for a while until I discovered the Solo. They provide plenty of volume, wide coverage and stereo sound.

I think they would be great for up to a mid sized college classroom. One of the big classrooms I think they might have trouble making it to the back.
