Well...sorta! I love your question. Because, NOTHING unnerves me worse than air brakes on a big truck, an obnoxiously loud car or pickup truck muffler, or when one of those speedy little racing motorcycles goes whizzing by!!! The truth is that these headphones dramatically reduce the impact of ANY kind of loud noise or external sound you may encounter in any normal day-to-day environment. But, they simply DO NOT completely “cancel out” any such noises. Overall, I’m very pleased with the noise canceling of these phones. But, I encourage you to maintain realistic expectations for such products as these; regardless of the manufacturer. Bottom line is you USUALLY get what you’re able to pay for. Meaning, for about $400, these are pretty good. My advice is to buy ‘em & try ‘em. And I mean REALLY TEST THEM OUT THOROUGHLY! And, if you’re not quite satisfied after a few days, return them & try out something else! I simply cannot stress this sentiment strongly enough! Again, you get what you pay for. So, do it right! I hope this helps. BULLET
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say yes.. They are noise canceling and I can have the volume barely turned on my phone and I cannot hear the TV or my girlfriend when she's trying to talk to me. Lol. But you can lift one side of the headphones above your ear a little bit and you'll be able to hear if you need to.
