“I got my husband the QC 35's a couple of years ago. They still work great however the material on the ear covers has worn off and I sometimes find pieces of it on his face and neck. Is that something that the manufacturer has upgraded with the 700s?”

No, the 700 series will begin to fall apart within the first month with regular/minimal usage. The internal bars begin to stick out and rub your ears and the ear covers ripple and split. Save your money and buy something else. The 35s were a much better product in overall sound quality and manufacturing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found replacement ear cushions on line at Walmart of all places. I think I paid only $8 last year for it. It was easy to install and clicked into place. Good fit.
