“How effective are these headphones at cutting out noise and distortion for those listening to me while on a phone call? I've seen people holding their headphone microphones up near their mouths during calls in hopes of getting clear audio through.”

• I wear these all the time in noisy places (crowded airports mostly). I have never held the microphone up to my mouth and I have never had anyone on the other end say they had trouble hearing what I was saying. I highly recommend them.

• The Noise cancelling applies only to what you hear. I often speak to people in noisy situations and while they never have trouble hearing me (leaving the microphone clipped on my tie about 4 inches below my chin) they can hear noise in the background
