No. These are wired headphones. The cord has plugs at both ends: one to connect to the headphones and the other to connect to your phone, computer, or other source of audio. I suppose the headphones could be used without the cord if you only want to dampen the noise around you. If you want to listen to some audio source, you have to plug the headphones into it.

The set I bought is not. I have not opened them as they are a Christmas present.
