Yes they cancel out yard machinery.

Absolutely yes and that's the reason why I purchased Bose q35 for not be bother anymore from our apartment complex lawn mower people

Yes, but little bit depends upon how much volume you had done on you heaphone while listening songs.

Not used with lawn mower. It is being used by truck driver. Yes it does cancel the sound from the truck.
