I just chatted with a Bose Expert regarding wired mode on the new QuietComfort and QuietComfort Ultra headphones.

While they do come with an adapter to plug into an in-flight entertainment system, Bose confirmed that, in wired mode, ANC is disabled.

Yes. The earlier answer regarding ANC being disabled is inaccurate. See the response by Bose Support to a similar question “When using wired, the Noise Cancelling will turn on, but can be disabled if preferred.“

The headphones do included a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to use the headphones when Bluetooth is unavailable.
