I doubt it would work with a THUD, you feel those more than hearing them. But dog barks and basic noises aren't a problem for these..They do have a snooze feature to stop making the relaxing sounds you can set to on or off and they'll play the sounds until you cut them off..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My backyard neighbors have family gatherings nearly every weekend. While their music isn't particularly loud, the bass travels and can be clearly heard inside my house. These block that out 100%. These block just about all noise so I'm pretty confident these would do the trick!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The reason I got the original Sleepbuds was to mask out the neighbor's barking dogs. The Sleepbuds II, like the first-gen ones, does a fantastic job blocking out dog noises (mine inside the house as well as the neighbor's). If you increase the Sleepbud loudness level from inside the Bose app, you can also easily block out noisy people (conversations, shouting, their music, etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have loud screaming children & mowers nearby on a regular basis. These definitely help mask those sounds enough to sleep & study through. Not sure what you can do about the loud thuds though as that's something you usually feel as well as hear. Hope that helps :-)
