They are noise canceling, however to say they are active noise canceling im not sure. Active noise canceling will usually change based the pitch or frequency coming in. These earbuds seem to be set at a standard level. One thing to note though is they do a very good job at blocking out outside noise. I have a set of Bose over the ear active noise canceling headphones and these earbuds do a way better job than my headset!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Correction: I am the original poster. I obviously intended to ask about "passive" noise cancellation, and was describing that (not ANC). It sounds like the responders understood the question as intended, but I didn't want to create confusion between the physical, earplug-like seal of passive noise cancellation vs. the software effects of ANC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the sound app running I found them to block everything that kept me awake..They work really well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not noise cancelling where it adds pressure to the ears, it's a soft tight fit but comfortable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they create a seal and also have noise-masking technology.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are noise masking. The seal is decent, and the sounds do mask ambient noise. Active Noise Cancelling has a microphone that listens to ambient noise and subtracts (plays out of phase) that same noise through the speaker/earbud. These are not that.
