• No, they don't feature the ability to add other sounds.

• No, you can only use the sounds in the Bose app. They do have a good variety of sounds, though. They aren't all rain and waves.

• There are some additional options and you may be able to customize your sounds. I have not explored these so I am not sure what else is available.
