• The Bose sound bar requires its own sound input and is not self amplified. The speaker is dependent on the out watts of the input device.

• Yes it seems to and sounds great. We have an older Sanyo tv without Bluetooth so I hooked up directly. Works great.

• Simple answer yes. Especially if the tv speakers are facing downward the sound is significantly better. The voice is always lower in volume and this sound bar does an excellent job of emphasizing it even at lower volume
