I like bose. It has a voltage rating of 110 - 220 V. so you need to check the rating the country you are travelling.

My sister has the JBL and the Bose is better sound quality hands down! As for traveling outside the country that would depend on the airline your using and their restrictions on electronic devices...with that said this device is small enough to fit most purses and or hand bags. Hope this helps.

I would suggest this over the flip, due to the fact that the flip has the speaker exposed and may be punctured during your trip. In my opinion, it would be ideal for travel.

As far as the JBL flip I don't know but as far as traveling goes you may want to get a case for could you don't want to drop it And yes cases are available I would look carefully though online

The jbl charge +2 is much better..longer battery life better sound..i also have the extreme that really sounds best big sound very happy with it
