yes it produces good sound in all conditions. When i tested it at Bestbuy store which is an open landscape store, the sound was amazing.

We just recently used my son's Bose Revolve at the beach and it was great! The beach was crowded but not in the same way as tailgating can be but I am confident that you won't be disappointed. The sound didn't washout like some speakers do in open environments either. I hope this helps.
