“I just received my Bose soundlink revolve plus. I plugged it in for the first time and it’s been flashing red for a while. Does that mean it’s still charging or does that mean something is wrong? I can’t even turn it on or connect it yet.”

As noted on https://bose.life/3c1b7Sd, a flashing red LED while charging means that the speaker has low power. Be sure to use a power supply rated 5 vDC, 1.6A to successfully charge the speaker.
