No, not that. I notice a difference in music vs voice calls or text/ring tones, but people usually say they can hear me better than using speakerphone or handset

However, the music playback, for the most part, stays pretty consistent and only rarely cuts outs. I purchased a pair of these to use until my replacements from Jaybird come in, I'll be making these my backup pair.
