• The earbuds have the standard 3-lead plug. I've never had any issue with earbuds using 3-lead plugs in my computer headphone jack, my truck Aux input, or on any device. I would think you'd be fine getting these for your MP3 player.

• Did you mean mp3 player? If so, the headphones will work for listening. However, the in-line control panel is really only meant to work with iOS devices. Rae - Bose Support
