They use a proprietary wireless protocol that is not compatible with third-party receivers like the Sony STR-AZ3000ES. The Sony STR-AZ3000ES is a high-end AV receiver that supports traditional speaker connections via speaker wire and standard audio formats. Since the Bose Surround Speakers rely on Bose’s own wireless ecosystem and don’t have standard speaker terminals or Bluetooth pairing for receivers, they cannot be directly connected or used with the Sony receiver
