The series 9 is a significant improvement over the prior versions in dealing with longer growth beard. It also provides a closer overall shave. It is largely incremental, but the longer beard (I've gone 5 days) and it cuts without pulling. The center cutters do a significantly better job cutting before the shaving foils shave it off.
