• The HL-L2390DW is packaged with a starter toner which yields approximately 700 pages.

• I bought extra toner cartridge and it expired before I could use it. I was told there is a chip in the cartridge. Printer would not recognize it.

• I am using this printer for a year now. The starter cartridge lasts around 600 pages. Brother proudly overstates coverage by 100 pages or so. At 6% coverage, my printer is reminding me every minute to replace my cartridge; my page counter is 570.

• I believe it will last for a good while. I can’t remember if it was a starter or a full cartridge. I think you’ll get a few hundred prints if it’s just a starter.
