- Answer I just spent an afternoon trying to install a Brothers printer (model HLL2350DW) to a 5.0 gz network only to find out it was only 2.4 compatible. I shipped it back from where it came. Brother phone support was nice but I ultimately did not want an older printer and force myself to use an older 2.4 network. My fault for not digging deeper into the specs.

QuestionSpecs say this Brother - HL-L2390DW printer will print with Airprint on iPhone but it is not listed on the Apple support Airprint list (list updated monthly- https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201311 ). Has anyone used the Airprint function with success??

- Answer Yes it is AirPrint capable I set it up on my Mac, iPhone and iPad show it as a valid AirPrint printer.

QuestionIs there a way to do the set up on this printer WITHOUT going the wireless route? I like the functionality of having a scanner/copier but I'm a little unsure about the wireless aspect, seems like that's where the problems will start (if any). Thanks.

- Answer Used a USB cord for our printer and it works great. We don't have WiFi so that connectivity was a must for us.

- Answer The 2395 has a touch screen controller and the 2390 has an old style 2-line display and it is controlled by a bunch of buttons. Otherwise, it looks like the same machine.

- Answer If connecting by cable/USB, it would depend on your cable length. Using WiFi, I can print from 20 feet or more away, on several different computers in the house.

- Answer The minimum paper size on the HL-L2390DW is 3"-5". Using the manual feed slot you will be able to print 3 x 5, 4 x 6 index cards and 10 x 7 card stock.

- Answer It does not have an auto-feeder from the top cover, so we put 1 sheet at a time on the glass. But you can save more than 1 page per file. Make sure to answer YES or NO when it asks "Scan another page?".

- Answer The HL2395 has a larger (and color) LCD screen, as opposed to the 2-line Mono LCD in the HL2390 The HL2395 prints at 36 pages per minute, as opposed to 32ppm The HL2395 can print using NFC (Near Field Communication), the HL2390 cannot. If you don't understand that terminology, you don't need it.. :p The HL2395 has a hard wired Ethernet connection as well as WiFi and USB. The HL2390 only has WiFi and USB.

- Answer This is an All-In-One Multifunction printer without fax capability. The next model up (MFC-L2710DW) will have the fax functions you are are looking for (Fax capable and keypad on top) I hope this helps.

- Answer It all depends on your printer. Inkjet will work with anything due to their low power draw. Have to be more careful with lasers, since they draw a lot of current. Use a thick extension in this case
