I just spent an afternoon trying to install a Brothers printer (model HLL2350DW) to a 5.0 gz network only to find out it was only 2.4 compatible. I shipped it back from where it came. Brother phone support was nice but I ultimately did not want an older printer and force myself to use an older 2.4 network. My fault for not digging deeper into the specs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had no trouble setting it up to our wireless network without any cables or cords. The toughest part was clicking through the letters for the password (think old school texting on mobile phones). My Samsung phone, husband's iPhone, and my iPad all found it quite easy. It has met our needs very well and fit in our budget for a home printer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased this B&W laser printer to install in college dorm setting. I chose it for low price and print speed as well as wireless capability. For those trying to use wireless in a college setting to share among roommates. Don't bother unless you are setting up your own wireless router. This unit does not contain a Ethernet port either (so can not be hooked to wired network). However it can be hooked directly to long USB cable that is shared "wired".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need a USB cable, I set mine up completely wirelessly
