QuestionHow's this for infrequent (less than once per week) use? Any ink drying out? Can I leave it off until needed (to avoid noises) without it causing problems?

- Answer It is a Laser cartridge. Will need to replace once the ink is gone. I have had my cartridge for 2 years now. Still printing perfect copies. I always turn off printer after I am finished. No noise when sleeping and barely any noise when printing. Perfect for light printing.

- Answer Yes, it is very convenient. You don’t really need to connect a laptop or pc to it. You can scan the doc and send it to your email through the printer itself over wifi or LAN.

- Answer I just updated the firmware a couple of days ago and the entire process took about 3-4 minutes. It depends on your internet connection because it has to go out and download the update.

- Answer Yes, the printer does has a panel that opens up for the purpose of a "bypass feeder" for envelopes, labels, and possibly cardstock (depending on the weight). I hope that helps.

- Answer This is the toughest thing to do. Easiest was is to make sure it is connected to WiFi and using the menu to hit scan, select to email it to you. Type in your address, load your document like you are copying (Loader tray not directly on glass) and start. When It cycles through it should read that it is sending. Check your inbox.
