• The printer has a feeder and a flat-bed scanner. The former supports two-sided scanning so it is definitely the way to go for paper scans while the latter is good for things that are not naturally flat or thicker (passports, for example).

• We use the feeder for copying. Haven't done much scanning but I think it should work similarly. Very happy with it's copying and printing mode.
