• Nope, the Google home and mini act as the hub and take care of it perfectly fine for me

• Nope. It's very easy to set up. Simply screw the bulb in your light fixture, open the Google home app and select to add a device. You will be prompted with instructions.

• Nope. Just make sure you pair them using the Google Home app and not the C by GE app if you want to be able to control them outside of your home.
