“If this model is not wifi ready how does one know if it is on or off? Everything online talks about being notified in the app with the wifi.”

Don’t buy it. You get notified on your phone when it starts running and when it completes but no one else in the house does so if your not in the kitchen to announce the cycle is complete the family puts dirty dishes in. Epic fail not including a light or alert on the dishwasher confirming progress of the cycle. Dishes don’t come clean anyway so stay clear of this one!
