Yes, it can be removed; my husband just easily did it! He first googled if one could remove the copper ring off the Cafe dishwasher. It gave him instructions of how to go about removing it. There’s a little set-screw on the back-side of each end of the handle Unscrew them until the handle comes off. (don’t let handle swing or it will scratch your dishwasher). Next, unscrew the set-screw on the back-side of the copper ring. Next, slip the ring off the handle. Next, hold the handle in position and screw the set-screw back in the handle. Done! Looks great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can remove it. I just did. Use 1/8” Allen key to take off the handles, then a smaller 3/32” Allen key to remove the bar from the handle mount. Then the same key to remove the copper. Place it back together and you’re good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can confirm that you can remove the decorative ring from the handle. All you need is a couple of allen wrenches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s not pink. It’s copper. This ring is the mark of the Cafe professional series. You might be able to remove it yourself, not sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is so confusing. One person writes that it's easy to remove the "ring" in 5 minutes ,yet in the same thread the word from Cafe is that you can't! What is the truth? I suspect the Cafe products are target-marketed to women, and thus the product managers decided at some point to put a piece of "jewelry" on them as part of their designer look. So sad, as when the Cafe "Professional" products are ordered in stainless (not a designer color combo, like white with copper handles) they actually just as "pro" like as the competitions's pro versions (Wolf, Monogram, etc.). Male cooks prefer this look to not be spoiled by a piece of jewelry.
