“Can the whole bottom be used as an actual freezer or does one side of the door act like the middle draw of the other modern glass model with 3 draws. I'm looking for more freezer space.”

Not sure I understand the question, but both lower zones can be used as freezer space. They are two separate and independent spaces, and the lower right zone can be set to be either a freezer or a refrigerator. We're using ours as a refrigerator (and that seems to be the main focus since there's a small wine rack in that zone), but there's no reason you couldn't use it as a freezer if you need more freezer space. Even though we're only using the lower left freezer space, we feel like it has more usable freezer space than our old GE Monogram side-by-side had., and having the extra refrigerator space better fits our needs.
