Hello – we’re glad you reached out! This model can be vented externally, yes, or by using recirculation. A recirculation duct (WB34X30519), and Charcoal Filter (UXCF91), are not included with the hood and are necessary for recirculation installation. For more information, see the Connect Ductwork section on page 22 of the Installation Guide. This can be located on the bottom of the Features section on the Best Buy product page.
