“I just got this for Xmas. I find that I have to fill out the beans area for every cup. I only get like 4 cups from one bag, is that normal? Also, the waste area gets filled up very fast. Us this “ waste” technically coffee that I can use?”

Hello - The amount of coffee used is dictated by the grind size and grind time and not by the brew type (Espresso, Lungo, etc.). Grind Size is changed with the knob. There is a setting of 1 -5. The higher the number the more coffee grounds. Grind Time can only be adjusted in the app. It can be changed from 4 seconds to 5.5 seconds. The longer the time, the more coffee grounds. The default setting is a grind time of 4.5 seconds and the amount of coffee grounds will vary based on grind setting from approx. 7 grams (setting 1) to as much as 12 grams (setting 5). We don't recommend using the waste as coffee. We're confident this machine will be a great addition to your home for many years. All the best! -Don@Café
