• A:Answer Frothing milk is very variable based on the type of milk used (whole, 2%, etc) and also the actual steam wand of the machine and even the skill level of the person using the machine. You can add too much air into the milk and it would be too foamy or frothy. You can also steam it too long which would result in scalded milk and that could affect the texture. So basically the quality of the froth is dependent on several factors; it could even vary from different coffee shops too. Good luck and hope this helped.

Q: QuestionAre you planning on recalling this machine or replacing the grinder since so many of the machines have issues? If not, what is your plan? I’d be interested in one at this price point but only if there is a fix being planned.

• A:Answer I would also like to note to prospective buyers that the grinder IS a problem. The one I currently have only lasted a week. I used the recommended 9 setting for the first five days and slowly adjusted it down to 7. I still had problems. The grinder is creating a thick base of fine powder at the bottom that clogs not only the grinder, but the tunnel where it outputs into the portafilter. Just spent three hours deep cleaning to get it back to working condition. I do not want to do this every week, so I’d really like to see Cafe come out with a fix for this very expensive machine.

• A:Answer The grinder will shut off if something gets stuck in it which can occur for various reasons, e.g. the grind setting is too fine for the grade or size of the bean. All you have to do is adjust the grind setting to a larger one by rotating the bean hopper counterclockwise slightly and tapping it to clear the issue. That’s all you have to do.

Q: QuestionDoes this espresso machine brew espresso at 9 bars or the full 15 bars of pressure? And can you control the pressure through the app?

• A:Answer Hi there, thanks for taking the time to ask! The pressure is a function of user input, like grind size, coffee amount, etc. You're in control of the brew pressure, not the appliance. With proper choice of shot parameters the espresso machine will brew at traditional 9-11 Bars. The pressure is not able to be adjusted via the app. We hope this is helpful!
