How do you tell the older version from the new? null

Original was a pump extend, new version has a twist extend. ;-)

Old version of this lens zooms in and out by sliding the lens in and out like a trombone. The new one is a twist like all or most other camera lenses

The lens is very fast. Push and pull to zoom as in the past you turned to zoom.
