“I read online that it can take RAW images. Is Photoshop a good software to use? And are images pulled directly from the memory card to a computer in fact RAW images? They are jpg on my computer; how can you tell the difference between them? Any advice?”

Does a fantastic job in taking RAW images and yes Photoshop will work perfectly with it and yes they transferred as RAW images off the card to the software on the computer. I personally use ON1-2025 version to do RAW imaging and like it alot!
