Yes, the camera has a very good incorporated mic; however if you're looking for a more professional or specific sound capture, you can get an additional external mic as an accessories to upgrade performance. For every day use, the internal mic will make a great job.

You can adjust recording sound level for the best quality by turning mode dial to movie then press the menu button and select sound recording then select rec. manual. Set Rec. level about midway or to your quality level. Press menu button to exit.
