Nearly all DSLR cameras have a high definition video function that allows you to record video, just like an iPhone. The advantage of video through a DSLR camera is that you capture sharper video with field of depth. It is unlikely that most people use a DSLR for video until they discover the advantages of doing so. While not as convenient as a phone, it is nice to have the video feature on the DSLR when you are taking pictures and can switch to video without the hassle of juggling for your phone.
