While not as convenient as a phone, it is nice to have the video feature on the DSLR when you are taking pictures and can switch to video without the hassle of juggling for your phone.

The only camera that is in in Cannon line that is better would be the T8 which is more for the professional photographer. I have been using this camera for little over 2 weeks now and the pictures are amazing.
