I ordered a backup battery from (insert online retailer here, with free 2 day shipping) that came with it’s own charger (which I recommend doing BTW) so I always have a charged battery. Just get a back-up battery and secretly charge it the night before Christmas... great Camera, terrific pictures. Took me a little time to remember how to set an SLR but there are plenty of tutorials out there. I highly recommend this camera, especially at this price.
