Will it print both 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17? null

Yes: letter (8.5x11). NO: poster (11x17). Legal, maybe (8.5x14).

I don't believe it will. I went in and looked at the paper size settings and didn't find 11 x 17. The paper drawer and scanning plate will not fit that size. On another note, I recently purchased this printer to replace an ink jet HP and have been very satisfied with this Canon's performance.
